About Resolute Counseling, PLLC
Hello there!
I founded Resolute Counseling, PLLC in 2017, with the goal of providing high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I have been working as a master's level licensed psychotherapist since 2014.
With a background in mental health and years of experience as a master's level licensed psychotherapist (LPC), I have dedicated my career to helping individuals live happier, healthier lives. I am committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of life.
Apart from my practice as a psychotherapist, I am an educator and researcher who holds a doctorate in health sciences and dual master's degrees in counseling and forensic psychology. My dissertation research delved into the intricate factors that influence the therapeutic relationships between mental health counselors and individuals battling with serious mental illness (SMI). As a doctorate-trained health scientist, I incorporate evidence-based practices into my private practice as a psychotherapist, which is informed by current peer-reviewed literature on psychotherapy.
I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and transformation, and I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.
In my down time, I enjoy spending time with family. I also have 2 pets that I absolutely love: Charlie, who is a black lab & shar pei mix, and Roney, who is a yellow tabby.
APPROACH TO THERAPY
I am honored to be joining you on this journey towards healing and growth. As your therapist, my approach is a person-centered approach around you, your experiences, and your unique needs. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to facilitate your self-discovery and growth.
In our sessions, I will listen carefully to your concerns, and seek to understand your experiences and perspectives. Together, we will work collaboratively to develop a deep understanding of your inner world, and explore the challenges that may be holding you back from living a fulfilling life.
We will determine what is and is working well for you, what may need to be different or adjusted. Collaboration with each step will be automatically integrated into your services.
My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I will support you as you navigate your emotions, and help you develop the coping skills and tools needed to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.
Through this journey, my hope is that you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and feel empowered to make positive changes in your life. Please know that I am here to support you every step of the way.

-- Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC)
-- Authorized/Approved Clinical Supervisor (AzBBHE)
-- Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Trained
-- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) (2-day intensive)
-- Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD & Anxiety (4-day intensive)
-- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (4-day intensive)
-- Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
-- Psychodynamic Therapy
-- Trauma-Informed Care
-- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-- Motivational Interviewing (MI)

-- 40 hour basic training in Family & Civil Mediation - Missouri State University
